Obituary for Rachel Gabbard Richmond

Rachel Gabbard Richmond 91, of Berea, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at home. She was a Berea native born June 14, 1927, daughter of the late Harm, Jr. and Rosie Ingram Gabbard. Rachel was a homemaker, a loving wife to her husband Marion, a kind, generous, quiet woman filled with love for her entire family and friends, and known for her world class biscuits and soup beans. She attended Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Survivors include 3 children; Irene Richmond, Bobby Richmond (Bonnie) and David Richmond; 9 grandchildren, Keith, Rhonda, Ronald, Robbie, Donald, Kenny, Billy, Stacey, Craig; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Elsie Knuckles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marion Richmond; siblings, Preston Gabbard, Ernest Gabbard, Goldie Johnson, Evi Fryer and Lois Short; and a granddaughter, Kelly Richmond.

Pallbearers will be Robbie, Ronald, Kenny, Stacy, Billy, Donald and Craig. Honorary pallbearers are Keith, Ricky, Cecil, Charles and Johnnie.

Visitation is 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the Funeral Home. Funeral service 1:00 PM, Friday, April 27th, 2018 also at Reppert Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Pastor Roy Himes officiating. Burial in Silver Creek Cemetery. Reppert Funeral Home and Cremation Service entrusted with arrangements.
