Obituary for Lowell Moore

Russell Lowell Moore, 74, of Berea, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond following an illness. He was a Rockcastle County native born February 11, 1944, son of the late William Daniel and Christine Day Moore, retired JMBM Construction Company supervisor, and had been a resident of the Berea area most of his life. Lowell was a Mt. Vernon High School Graduate (Class of 1962), liked to build furniture, work in his garden, and fish.

Survivors include 3 children, Russell Lowell Moore II, Lisa Moore, Paula Isaacs (Kevin); 2 siblings, William Daniel Moore, Jr., Judy Carol Cash; 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Courtney, Emily, Christine, Rachel; 1 great grandson, Aiden; as well as numerous relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Sue Coyle Moore; his second wife, Frankie Hodges Pennington Moore; and sister, Marjorie Conn.

In accordance with Lowell’s wishes, he was cremated and a Memorial Service is scheduled for 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Reppert Funeral Home. Acceptance of friends 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hospice Care Plus, 208 Kidd Drive, Berea, KY 40403 or American Cancer Society, 1504 College Way, Lexington, KY 40502
