Obituary for Lamont Sheppard

Lamont E. Sheppard, age 52 of Waco, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. He was born January 21,1964 to George Sheppard and Devera Wise in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Lamont loved fishing, shooting guns, and spending time with his family. He was a great man who loved his friends and family with all his heart and hoped to pass on good vibes to everyone he met. Lamont worked at Gill Industries in Richmond as a press operator until he feel sick to Stage 4 lung cancer in late September. Which he later passed from, after a long battle, on December 20, 2016.

In June of 2013 in Waco, Lamont engaged Julie Dibley.

Survivors include: his fiancée: Julie Dibley of Waco; his father, George Sheppard; step-father, Robert Wise Sr.; step-mother, Alisha Sheppard all of Baltimore, Maryland; 2 daughters: Journey Kincaid of Waco and Krissy Sheppard of Baltimore; 1 son, Lamont Sheppard II of Baltimore; 2 grandchildren: Landyn Sheppard and Lamar Sheppard; 2 sisters, Teri Thomas and Shantel Sheppard; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Devera Wise; mother-in-law Letha Dibley; and 3 brothers: Westley Wise, Robert 'Boobie' Wise, and William Wise.

A Celebration of Lamont's Life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Reppert Funeral Home in Berea, Kentucky. Acceptance of friends at 1:00 pm.
