Obituary for Joshua Ray Adams

Joshua Ray Adams, 31, of Irvine, died Friday, January 26, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was a Berea native born April 8, 1986, son of Philip Adams and Kathy Brock Kendrick. He was a U. S. Postal Service contractor, U. S. Air Force veteran, and resident of Berea for the past five years after being Honorably Discharged from the Air Force and spending a year in California.

He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. Joshua loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, guns, video games, was a computer whiz and was lovingly called a "closet nerd" by his family. He was a bookworm, who read a lot, had a dry sense of humor, was never afraid to make a fool of himself, loved candy, vitamins and fiber. Joshua attended New Heights Church in Berea.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Romberger Adams; 3 children, Hunter Ray Adams, Porter Allen Adams, Selah Elizabeth Adams; 3 sisters, Rosemary Presnell (Benjamin), Heather Bradley (Ryan), Megan Coffey (Jesse); paternal grandparents, Donnie and Bonnie Ramey Adams; maternal grandmother, Beulah Crane Willis (William); mother and father-in-law, Duane and Susan Stauffer Romberger; brothers-in-law, David Romberger (Kinsey), Jonathan Romberger; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Manuel Brock.

In accordance with Joshua's wishes, he was cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at New Heights Church with Pastor John Burdette officiating. Acceptance of friends at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial of the cremains will follow the service in Davis-Witt Cemetery in Rockcastle County.
