Obituary for Betty Alcorn

Betty Burress Alcorn, 80, of Mason, Ohio died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio. She was a Logan, West Virginia native born August 3, 1937, daughter of the late James and Pearl Burress and had been a resident of Ohio for over 60 years.

Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed making jewelry, sewing and working word search puzzle books. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and always enjoying loving on her grandbabies and great grandbabies. Betty was very dedicated to her church, Sharon Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, James E. Alcorn; 3 children, Rosada Allen (Tom), Vickie Callaway (Tim), Mary Hughes (Roger); 4 siblings, Maggie, Glenn, Donald, Jerry; 7 grandchildren, Adrienne, Eli, Lisa, Lori, Christopher, James, Jazzminn; and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Nancy, Chuck, Helen, and Jimmy.

Funeral Service 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Reppert Funeral Home, Berea, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Pilot Knob Cemetery. Visitation 12:30 pm until service time on Wednesday.
